Long indigo dyed silk scarf, designed using an ancient Japanese shibori folded technique and dyed with natural indigo dye. This subtle pattern resembles clouds on a blue sky and colour tones vary throughout the piece.
Each scarf in this range varies slightly but has the same cloud theme. Because indigo dyeing is a living, natural and spontaneous process it produces amazing variations within the same dyeing vat!
Scarf measures: 180cm x 28cm (70.8" x 11")
It may be hand washed with gentle detergent in warm water and line dried - do not soak.
Indigo scarves are entirely handmade in my small outdoor studio in tropical Australia.
